This is going to sound like a suck, but hear me out. I promise it's a rock.
My mother's birthday was last month. Because of the whole lack of funds fiasco, I wasn't able to get her a Kindle like she wanted. That actually turned out to be a good thing because Amazon discontinued that one and came out with a newer version. It will start shipping at the end of August. Fabulous.
Audible has been running a special for MONTHS where if you sign up with them for one year, you get $100 off the Kindle. How sweet is that?
I went to sign up and apparently missed the special. By three days.
WHAT THE HELL? I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DO THIS FOR A WHILE BUT NEEDED TO GET PAID AND WHEN I DO GET PAID YOU STOP THE SPECIAL!!!
Why is this a rock? Because I can still afford the Kindle even without the $100 discount. I make barely above minimum wage, but I've been saving up like crazy. I'm rather proud of myself. I feel all responsible and adult-like. XD
